YUAN, FOUNDER & CEO

Ever since she was a little girl, Yuan would fall asleep with cookbooks – and she still does. Most of her childhood memories are connected to food: the first time she ate ice cream, waiting for waffles, making jiaozi with her family, reaching for a pot of popcorn and getting burned, picking berries or preparing her first “bread” in a gas oven while her mother was gone… and almost setting the entire house on fire.

SVEN, co-founder & business development director

A native of central Switzerland, Sven graduated from the prestigious Swiss Hotel Management Academy (SHL) in Lucerne. Some of his favorite semesters were those spent studying the food and beverage arm of the hotel business. He especially loved the courses focusing on food and wine degustation, which consisted of ten intensive weeks of tasting and training as a sommelier would.

ELA, co-founder & cfo

Ela was born in Switzerland with Albanian roots. She started working early on: At age 18, she built her first online store. After studying Finance & Accounting, Ela then worked at ElipsLife as well as Ringier as a Financial Reporting Specialist. The financial world, however, was not enough for she had greater dreams: At age 23, Ela decided to develop new skills in the field of digital business and digital marketing. While working at Ringier, she started her second online shop in the beauty and fitness niche market.

Thomas, co-founder & general counsel

Growing up in a rural village near Zurich, Thomas has been fascinated with food from a very early age. Although he learned quickly that his talents were rather on the demanding than on the supplying side of the food market, Thomas helped his parents to cook dishes for family and friends. Associated with his deep passion for sweet dishes, Thomas has become a decent baker over time (chocolate cake being one of his specialties).
